Following much anticipation, Disney+ Hotstar dropped the trailer of spy-thriller The Night Manager starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Anil Kapoor in the lead roles. A Hindi-language adaptation of John le Carré’s novel “The Night Manager”, which was previously created as British series starring Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston. Produced by The Ink Factory and Banijay Asia, the series is created and directed by Sandeep Modi and second director Priyanka Ghosh. The trailer was launched in Alibaug on Friday, January 20.

Discussing his digital debut with the media on Friday, Aditya Roy Kapur said that his character Shaan Sengupta has a lot of good traits. “He stands up for principle, I would imagine he is punctual and he has a big heart.”
He added, “When the opportunity arose, I was really excited by the chance to work on this particular piece. It felt like I saw the original (starring Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie) and I loved it. And I loved what Sandeep (Modi) and the writers had done with it and honestly, it is a dream role for an actor. There’s so much scope to put a lot of things in this role. So, for me, it was a no-brainer to just jump in.”
The series features eclectic talent including Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Tillotama Shome, Saswata Chatterjee, and Ravi Behl. It premieres on Disney+ Hotstar on February 17, 2023.
