For Fall/Winter 2021, The North Face has dived deep into its archive to bring back the Himalayan Parka for its More Than A Jacket campaign. The campaign itself pays homage to an ensemble of heritage outerwear pieces, which were once worn by intrepid explorers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Arriving in the brand’s beloved colour-blocked design, the jacket takes inspiration from The North Face’s iconic Himalayan Suit, which was worn by mountaineers as they scaled Mount Everest. Taking iterations of the technologies that went into the original suit, the parka now houses a selection of high-performance, protective features, like an original nylon ripstop fabrication for wind-blocking and cold weather insulation thanks to its 550-fill of responsibly sourced down.

These functional details and technologies are fused with an oversized fit, as well as The North Face’s insignia which can be found on the jacket’s chest.

Take a look at the Himalayan Parka in the selects below. The jacket is available now from The North Face’s web store.
