The Pines Modern Steakhouse has quietly reopened in its new home at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino after a few weeks of transition, according to a news release from the Highland property formerly known as San Manuel Casino.
The news release described its menu but did not provide any information about when or how to dine there, or about pricing.
Reservations are hard to come by, based on several unsuccessful attempts to book them online on the casino website.
According to the casino website, hours are 5-10 p.m. daily.
The online menu lists steaks at $55-$105, Chilean sea bass at $45, wild king salmon at $35, and à la carte sides at $9-$19.
The steakhouse was previously on the second floor of the casino. It’s in a new location in the resort, which is near the end of its first phase in a massive expansion and recently changed its name from San Manuel Casino to Yaamava’, a name that tribal officials say more accurately reflects the heritage of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, which owns it.
The reimagined Pines is on the first floor of the casino. It is larger and has a new menu with a focus on steaks and seafood as well as ultra high-end dining experiences such as a $5,000 Wagyu burger paired with Screaming Eagle Cabernet and a $5,000 cocktail served in keepsake Versace crystal, according to the release.
The original Pines closed a few weeks ago so the staff could be trained in the new kitchen and dining room.
The resort is at 777 San Manuel Blvd in Highland.
