THERE’S nothing worse than craving a nice cold drink on a flight, only to have to wait ages for the trolley to come past.
But there is a sneaky way you make sure you are served first – depending on the plane.
A Southwest flight attendant revealed the secret trick on Reddit when answering questions.
One person asked how to know the order in service during flights.
They wrote: “How do drink orders work at Southwest?
“Do they make all the Sprite drinks at once and give them out to all the people who ordered Sprite? Or do they make drinks based on the seat order?”
The unnamed flight attendant responded: “It’s based on seat order.
“We all have our sections that we take care of.”
They continued: “A little secret, on the Boeing 737-700, if you sit in row 1, 9 or 17, you will get your drink first.
“If you’re flying on a Boeing 737-800, if you sit in row 1, 9, 16, or 23, you will get your drink first.”
Someone commented: “My husband figured this out and always sits on row 9.”
Caroline Kneitz, who worked as a flight attendant for Emirates for more than six years, shared how to get your meals before everyone as well.
She revealed that those who order special meals will always be served first, so that meal services will run smoother.
She told Mail Online: “If you’re sticking to plane food and want your food served early, then all you need to do is order a special meal such as vegan or Kosher.
“Special meals, which have to pre-ordered in advance, are always dished out first. If you’re on a night flight getting your meal earlier is particularly useful as you can get to sleep quicker.”
Experts have revealed the best things you should drink on a plane – and it’s not just water.
Planes could soon even track how much you are drinking during the flight.
The same flight attendant also revealed what they really think when you ask them for extra snacks.
