Castilla y León will once again be one of the sensations of the Spanish Liberty Promising Paralympic Athletics Championship. The national event will have fourteen athletes belonging to the Federation of Adapted Sports of Castilla y León (Fedeacyl), in an expedition that only surpassed last year’s participation, in which fifteen athletes traveled.

Youth and talent for one of the most important promotion events on the calendar, which will be repeated in Toledo with more than two hundred participants from all over the country, among which the Fedeacyl sprinters and middle-distance runners stand out.

The Castilian and Leonese team will have athletes with intellectual and physical disabilities, visual impairment and cerebral palsy, and the medalists Ander Olaso and Diego Ruiz stand out.

The athlete from Avila, who has a visual disability, and who will compete with his guide, César Palacios ‘Chapi’, last year broke two national records in his category (T11 Sub’16), in this same Championship, hence the good vibrations that an athlete who dreams of being a Paralympian in the Games has.

Along with Ander and Diego, Maialen Olaso, Elena Pedraz and Nicolás Calvo will be in Toledo, all from the ONCE group from Ávila; Pablo Esteban, Diego Esteban, Elsa López and Noa Sierra, from Burgos, all of them from CD Puentesaúco; Víctor Toro and Alberto Mangas from Salamanca; and Amal Baraouz, Alba Gómez and Samuel Gómez from Valladolid.
