The strangest names UK drivers give their cars – includes Homer, Kermit and the Batmobile

Some 27 percent of car owners surveyed by the DVLA said they had named their vehicle, with Lady Patricia, Disco Dave and The Beast among some of the strangest ones.

TV and film inspired names also featured heavily, with Batmobile, Snow White and Eeyore proving popular.

The most common names among the almost 3,000 people surveyed included Max, Pablo, Ruby and Doris.

While the most popular musically-inspired name was ZZ Top after the bearded Texan trio.
