The UK beach cafe where you can eat the ‘best pizza’ & watch dolphins and seals

A CAFE in the UK has received praise, with some saying its pizzas are the best they’ve ever had.

A picnic on the beach can be a perfect way to spend a summer’s day and there’s a place where you can order homemade pizzas without leaving the sand.

The pizzas from the Aberdaron Beach Cafe have been described as "the best" by several people

Caffi Traeth Aberdaron, or the Aberdaron Beach Cafe, in Gwynedd, Wales keeps visitors to the scenic cove well-fed and nicely refreshed, with a selection of beers on hand too.

However, it’s the pizzas that keep customers coming back for more, with more than one person saying that they are “the best” they’ve ever eaten.

One such person wrote on TripAdvisor: “The best pizza we’ve ever tasted! Perfect after a morning on the beach with the dog! Visited several times on our holiday and it’s only our 3rd day!”

Another said: “Pizzas are fab, paninis and pasties really good. Ideal location for beach days”

A third added: “Great freshly made pizza and wide selection of ice cream and beers. Right on the beach and perfect for a snack.”

One holidaymaker who visited the cafe shared a video of her idyllic dinner, with the sun starting to set in the background, as she tucked into her food with her friends.

Underneath Megan Tomos’ (@megtomos) footage, someone commented: “Best pizzas ever.”

It’s not just the pizzas that attract people to the area either, with the beach enough of a draw for many.

Visit Wales describe it as a “mile long sandy bay” within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

They continue: “There is plenty to explore including sea caves and rock pools, the coast path leads to small beaches in both directions.

“Windsurfing, kayaking and sailing are popular activities as are boat trips, including summertime trips to Bardsey Island from nearby Porth Meudwy.”

The beach is also described by Visit Wales as a “haven for wildlife” with Aberdaron Self Catering saying: “Its not unusual to see porpoise, dolphins and seals swimming across the bay.”

Aberdaron is accessible by train, with its nearest station, Pwllheli linked to Birmingham New Street.

Visitors can then get the bus from Pwllheli to
Swyddfa’r Post Office, a nine-minute walk from the beach.

A hotel 150 yards from the beach is available from £70pp per night.

However, camping pitches can be booked nearby from less than £15 per night.
