Millions of Britons are preparing to fly away on holiday over the summer, with many already booking their flights and hotels.
The UK’s sunny weather is already preparing everyone for a relaxing summer, but one often-forgotten part of travelling could haunt some people.
Airport parking can often be the most frustrating and pricey experience when preparing to travel abroad.
Some brave drivers might look to put off airport parking until the last minute, but this can dramatically increase the price.
New research has looked for the cheapest available parking at the UK’s major airports from Saturday, July 22, to Saturday, July 29 – the first week of the school summer holidays, when demand is set to be at its highest.

Anyone flying out of Edinburgh Airport will be relieved to see they have the cheapest parking prices at just £44.99 in the official long stay car park.
East Midlands Airport near Derby will charge drivers just £67.99 for the week stay in uts JetParks car park.
The data, from ParkVia, found that Heathrow’s cheapest space is a Meet and Greet service, from £182.50.
Valentina Moise, Commercial Director at ParkVia, said: “We have drilled down into our data and have come up with the best prices on offer.
“We would always recommend that anyone booking flights and accommodation abroad get their airport parking sorted in plenty of time.
“But we also know that people lead very busy lives and sometimes things get pushed down to to-do lists until they become urgent.”
Cheaper car parks will usually be much further away from the terminals, with motorists potentially needing to get a short shuttle transfer.
These include Manchester, where £81.99 gets drivers a space in JetParks Ringway. However, people can park within walking distance of the check-in desk for £93.99.
Valentina Moise added: “One word of caution though, is to make sure you use approved and reputable operators.
“No one wants to step off the plane after a lovely break and face having to sort out potential issues.”
