The UK’s most expensive electric cars to charge in public

0

Merseyside and North Wales were found to be the most expensive region to charge an electric car at home, based on the high energy price of 32p per kWh.

This means it would cost a motorist around £18.40 to fully charge a Tesla Model Y, the UK’s most popular electric vehicle.

These areas were followed by the South East of England, which costs £17.83 to charge an EV, because of the extensive networks needed to get electricity into homes.

Five regions, the North West, South Scotland, South Wales, the South West, and the West Midlands all share third place.
