The View postpone comeback show after ‘fight breaks out on stage’

The View have postponed their London gig on their comeback tour after singer Kyle Falconer appeared to punch his bandmate in the face on stage on Wednesday night.

Falconer seemed to hit bassist Kieren Webster during the Dundee group’s sold out gig at Manchester’s Deaf Institute.

In the footage which emerged online, Falconer appears to say, “I’ll f****** kill you” while crew members attempt to break up the fight.

Falconer returned to the stage with an acoustic guitar and told the audience: “Sorry, if you want Kieren [Webster] can come and finish the set. The problem with this band is that he wants to sing the songs and he can’t.”

The singer then walked off the stage and someone joined him to encourage him to stay on but he appeared to argue back before leaving as the gig was cut short by several songs.

In a statement on Thursday, the band wrote: “Unfortunately we are having to postpone tonight’s London show.

“Our promoter is working to resolve the situation. Please keep hold of your tickets for now and we will make a further announcement in a few days.

“Massive apologies to all our fans.”

The Dundee group reformed in December, playing their first gigs in five years and announced plans for a new album.
