The Wanted’s Tom Parker gave an update on his brain tumour as he reunited with the band.

Tom – along with Siva Kaneswaran, Max George, Jay McGuiness and Nathan Sykes – appeared on Good Morning Britain when he was asked how he was doing.

The 33-year-old first told fans he had an aggressive form of brain cancer, which doctors had said was ‘inoperable’ and ‘terminal’, in October last year.

“I’m just crackin’ on, to be honest. It’s unusual to get into this position a year down the way,” he told host Ben Shephard.

“I’m just happy to be back with the boys. Happy to be out of the house and away from the kids, to be honest.”

He added that they have reached the ages where it’s ‘hurting daddy’s ears’.

Back in November, the singer revealed that his brain tumour is “under control” f ollowing an MRI scan.

He took to Instagram to share the emotional news with his fans. He wrote: “I’m sat here with tears in my eyes as I tell you. We’ve got my brain tumour under control.

“We had the results from my latest scan…and I’m delighted to say it is STABLE. Such a mix of emotions. We couldn’t ask for any more really at this point; a year or so in to this journey.

“Honestly over the moon. We can sleep a little easier tonight.”

“Hey guys, you know that we’ve both been quiet on social media for a few weeks and it’s time to tell you why,” he wrote at the time.

“There’s no easy way to say this but I’ve sadly been diagnosed with a Brain Tumour and I’m already undergoing treatment.

“We decided, after a lot of thought, that rather than hiding away and trying to keep it a secret, we would do one interview where we could lay out all the details and let everyone know the facts in our own way.”

He went on to explain how he was going to fight it and how he wanted to raise awareness of the illness.
