The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Is Free On GOG Again

0

CDPR very recently announced that the studio is working on a remake of the very first Witcher game, using Unreal Engine 5. The development of that is going to take awhile, so you should probably forget about it for now, until the devs announce a date. But in the meantime, if you haven’t played the original, you can now, as you can claim it for free via the CD Projekt launcher, GOG.

To claim your free copy of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition, all you need to do is to have Gwent in your library, and subscribe to the GOG newsletter. In in doing so you’ll also get a free card keg for said card game, which is also free-to-play.

That is, if you haven’t already claimed this game for free way back when. If all this sound very familiar, then you’ll be glad to know that this is not just a case of deja vu. This is because CD Projekt made this exact same offer all the way back in May of 2019. It wasn’t in conjunction with any special occasion back then either, even if this time there is a somewhat clear reason explaining why CD Projekt is giving the game away for free this time.

Also like the last time, there’s no indication as to when this offer will end. In fact, it’s entirely possible that this is the exact same offer from way back then, since at the time the offer did not exactly have an end date. As least, the Wayback Machine seems to suggest so.

All that being said, it makes sense why the company would want to publicise this offer now. If you haven’t yet claimed your free copy of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition yet, you can do so by hitting the link below.
