The 2023 NBA Draft is one of the most exciting offseason events.

The San Antonio Spurs, Charlotte Hornets, and Portland Trailblazers hold the first three picks in the Thursday draft.

Victor Wembanyama is supposed to go first, while Brandon Miller and Scott Henderson project to go next. After that, things appear uncertain.

But the intrigue and uncertainty make the event fun to watch. According to Keith Smith, there will only be 58 picks tonight in the draft.

While there are 30 teams in the NBA, two of them have had to forfeit their picks for tampering. So, we’re left with just 58 picks tonight.

“Talking to people around the league this morning, it feels like 57 picks are in play to be traded tonight. #1 overall is the only one off the board. Reminder: Only 58 picks this year, because Chicago and Philadelphia forfeited picks for tampering.”

We will see what happens with the start of the draft minutes away.
