Fear not, almost two years spent in varying degrees of social isolation isn’t actually making you imagine things. Tracksuits are all over your Instagram feed right now, and everyone and their nan is wearing a two-piece tracksuit.
How else are we supposed to lift our spirits when Christmas is over and we have over two long months left of winter?
From celebrities to influencers, fashion editors to Mrs Nicholson next door – they’re quite literally everywhere.
But while we’d never have predicted this insatiable resurgence two years ago, we also wouldn’t have imagined we’d be confined to our homes for months on end with little more than the odd dash to a supermarket providing us with an excuse to get dressed.
And as much as the cashier no doubt loved that midi dress you put on specially last week, now that the festive season is over and we’re navigating yet another month ‘working from home’, putting together *actual* outfits every day seems somewhat of a waste of time.
So… tracksuits it is. While they may not feel like your usual vibe, once you join the rest of us in succumbing to them, there’s a whole world of options to explore. Join us, won’t you?
