The Federation of Adapted Sports of Castilla y León (Fedeacyl) premiered this Wednesday the documentary ‘UNIQUE Trajectories’. The short, screened for the first time at the Miguel de Cervantes European University in Valladolid, promotes the Paralympic values of its three protagonists: the swimmer Marta Fernández, the skier María Martín Granizo, and the basketball player Sara Olalla.

The three athletes reflect in the video recorded by GoldenBox their origins in the world of sport, as well as their evolution and the way of linking it with the day to day (work, family, leisure…).

The Burgos swimmer Marta Fernández relives her sporting successes as a triple medalist at the Tokyo Games and standard bearer for the Spanish team, while recounting her day-to-day life since she arrived in Valladolid “when she barely knew how to swim.” Now she, Marta, is the most successful athlete in the community and she is aiming for medals at the Paris Games in 2024.

For her part, María Martín Granizo from Leon, the youngest of the protagonists, appreciates how she alternates adapted skiing with parasurfing, a discipline in which she was proclaimed world champion in California last year. “When I was little I didn’t want to stay in the cafeteria while my brothers played sports… So I fought to be with them,” reflects the international athlete who competes with a prosthesis.

The film is completed by Sara Olalla, from Down Burgos, who fills with vitality a documentary projected by the Federation of Adapted Sports of Castilla y León with the collaboration of the Board, and which can be seen on the official channel of the federation itself on YouTube.
