The Court of Cassation of Rome ratified last January the sentence of nine years in prison for a crime of sexual violence in a group for Robinho and his friend Ricardo Falco for events that occurred in 2013. The decision of the Court of Cassation responds to the appeal presented by the footballer’s lawyers, who had already been sentenced by the Court of Milan, a ruling that is now ratified. The player, in addition, would have to compensate the victim with an amount of 60,000 euros.
Unlike Dani Alves,Robinho has managed to avoid going to jail by taking refuge in Brazil, a country where there is no extradition agreement. And precisely in Brazil they have leaked the audios used by the Italian Prosecutor’s Office to prove the facts. In them they acknowledge having had group sex with the woman and discuss strategies to defend themselves.
Some audios that give them away
«Even if they call me for something, there is no problem. I go there and say: first, the story was a year ago. Second, I didn’t even touch that girl,” Robinho assured in one of the audios leaked by UOL. In another, the Brazilian showed his concern if the case reached the press: «I am afraid of… if it does not appear in the press, it is great. Imagine: ‘Robinho’s friends rape a girl in Italy’. What a phrase!”
Although Robinho does not recognize the facts in any of these audios, they do make it clear that there was group sex. “I slept with her, she sucked me off and I left”, he claimed. “The others stayed there. The camera wasn’t going to record me sleeping with the girl, or the girl sucking me off because if she wasn’t going to fuck everyone because she sucked me off, she sucked you off…” she added.
One of his friends, for his part, could not believe how the girl remembered what happened despite the amount of alcohol she drank. «Robinho sleeping with her, her sucking Alex, it’s true man. How does the crazy girl remember that?he wondered in one of the audios.
“She doesn’t know me, she wasn’t with me. That is impossible”, remarked the former Real Madrid footballer. When on the other side he heard that Jairo was not joking, the answer came: “Me neither. That’s why I laugh, I don’t care. The girl, the girl was extremely drunk, she doesn’t even know who I am.”. Some of these conversations were the basis of the Italian Public Ministry’s accusation: “What do I have to do with it?”
In the audios both admit what happened at the disco. In this sense, Robinho recounted what he observed that night: “I saw Rudney fucking her, and the other boys fucking her. So the guys who fucked her are going to get screwed. The guys who fucked her go to hell”. It should be remembered that the judicial decision points out that “they abused the conditions of mental and physical inferiority of the assaulted person, who had taken alcoholic substances, with the aggravating circumstance of having given him to drink until he was unconscious and was unable to oppose it.
On January 22, 2013, Robinho was in a nightclub with several friends who participated in an act of group sexual violence against a young woman of Albanian nationality who was 23 years old at the time. The Brazilian admitted, in the first trial, held in 2014, that there had been consensual oral sex.
In another of the recordings, Robinho comments the following: “I remember that you and I did not fuck her because your penis did not go up, it was flaccid…. The problem is that the girl says that three of them grabbed her with force”. And in another of the calls, he boasts that he was not worried because “there was no evidence that they did anything.”
Certain that nothing would happen to him, he added: «That I went to bed, zero possibility. That’s going to end in nothing.” However, to this statement by Robinho, one of his friends replied: “Stop because I saw that you put your penis in his mouth.” The Brazilian, for his part, replied: “That’s nothing! It’s not fucking.”
“If you’re not pregnant it’s your word against ours”
Another of the audios corresponds to a chat with one of those involved, Alex. “If she didn’t have a child, it’s her word against ours. There’s no way she can accuse us. Now, if she had a child, it’s a big problem,” says the former footballer for Real Madrid and Manchester City, among other teams. A few moments later, the answer came: “Since there were no cameras, it will be a bit difficult to prove that she was raped if she is not pregnant.”
One of the most outrageous parts of the recordings is when Robinho encourages his friends to attack the victim: “Is she an idiot? We’re going to hit her! You’re going to punch her and tell her: ‘Damn, what did I do to you? Did I do something to you?”.
Currently, Robinho is still at large in Brazil due to the impossibility of being extradited.
