Earth Day Clean Up on Ventura Boulevard – Universal Studios to Valley Circle Boulevard: Volunteer to help clean up litter on a portion of Ventura Boulevard, 8:30-10:30 a.m. April 23 (includes litter in alleys, bushes, curbs and streets). Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County’s Seventh Annual City Nature Challenge: Community scientists in Los Angeles County are invited to observe and take photos of wild animals, plants and fungi, April 29 to May 2. Upload observations and photos on the free, mobile app iNaturalist. Use photos taken only within the dates. Suggestions on what to find: Any wild plant, animal, fungi, lichen, slime mold, or any other evidence of life (scat, fur, tracks, shells, carcasses) found in your city, neighborhood, home, backyard (see this link for ideas: bit.ly/3jR4h8i).
