Powwow at California State University, Northridge: The American Indian Studies Program and CSUN’s American Indian Students Association present the event, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Nov. 26. The powwow begins with a gourd ceremony and a ceremonial dance, followed by a “grand entry,” at 12:30 p.m.,with a procession of dancers, blessings, greetings and songs. Hollywood Christmas Parade: The 90th annual parade is hosted by Dean Cain, Erik Estrada, Laura McKenzie, Elizabeth Stanton and Montel Williams, 6 p.m. Nov. 27.
