This colour-changing TikTok-approved lipstick has blown our tiny minds

Another day, another TikTok beauty product – and this genius colour-changing lipstick might just be next on our wish lists. 

We’ve seen Clinique’s Black Cherry lipstick go viral on the video-sharing site, as well as NYX’s Jumbo white eyeliner (ideal for highlighting, apparently) – and next up it’s Ciaté’s multi-tasking lippy, which is actually part of its collaboration with Selling Sunset‘s Christine Quinn.

TikToker @Yhkayla – who also goes by Michaela – posted a video showing the effects of the heat-changing liquid lip, which quickly received thousands of likes and plenty of comments.

“This came in the mail and I tried it out, and I was so mind-blown that I chucked some makeup on so I can show it to you,” she said. 

“It’s from Ciaté and it’s the Christine Quinn collab… wait until you see what happens with this lipstick! I cannot. I can’t. I’m literally like, my brain can’t understand it.”

She then applied the colour-changing lipstick, before continuing to camera: “So it’s a bright red lip, and then I was reading the little description, and it says ‘colour-changing’… and I was like ‘that’s way too gimmicky to be real life’. And then I did this with some ice, and hello, it’s changing colour!”

Michaela’s lipstick turned from a bold red to a deep brown shade – and we have to admit, it is kind of mind-boggling.

Plenty of followers commented on the video, with one noting that the extra lippy was the perfect product for Selling Sunset‘s resident drama queen Christine. “Brilliant. She would so create something like that, so fab,” she wrote.

Another reckoned the lipstick would be the perfect choice for cocktail hour, replying: “Omg imagine going out for drinks and then you can be like, ‘wait let me change lip colour’… *sips drink*.”

If that appeals, the magical product in question is Ciaté’s ‘Cash Fetish Heat Transforming Lip Cream’, and it’s currently available to buy for £11.90. The brand has actually launched a variety of colour-changing formulas in its time, including its ‘Colour Flip’ lip glosses and ‘Glitter Flip’ lipsticks.
