The Connaught Hotel is quickly emerging as the ultimate getaway for cocktail aficionados: in addition to their top-ranked eponymous bar, this fall they opened The Red Room, which features four rosy-hued artworks by Louise Bourgeois, Jenny Holzer, Ti-a Thuy Nguyen, and Trina McKillen. Perrone created a list of six cocktails for the space—all of which highlight wine.
Coming in second place is another London haunt, Tayēr + Elementary, followed by Paradiso in Barcelona, Spain.
The best bar in the United States? That’d be Katana Kitten, in New York’s West Village, while Los Angeles’s Thunderbolt took home the “one to watch” award. Meanwhile, the best bar in Asia is Hong Kong’s Koa.
