Natural Selection, a conservation-driven collection of owner-operated camps and mobile safaris in Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa, has unveiled a new, high-octane adventure for intrepid wildlife enthusiasts. The first of its kind, its six-night Botswana Guided Cycling Safari offers a singular safari odyssey like no other.

Professional cycling safari guides will lead guests through an array of off-road terrain, covering some 25-40 miles per day amidst the dazzling natural bounty of the Okavango Delta, one of the world’s largest inland deltas and arguably one of its most extraordinary wildlife habitats. Pedaling along ancient elephant paths that have shaped the country’s jaw-dropping landscapes for centuries, you’ll pass acacia woodlands, mopane forests, and savannah grasslands in pursuit of incredible animal sightings. A luxury mobile safari camp, pitched in different scenic locations, provides enticing overnight accommodations after sundowners and hearty dinners around a crackling fire.

You’ll spend the last two nights at the intimate, eight-room Little Sable, a stylish safari camp located in the Khwai Private Reserve, encompassing 500,000 acres of pristine wilderness in the northern reaches of the Delta. There’s also the option to spend one night at Skybeds, where stargazers sleep atop a 16-foot high wooden platform overlooking a busy waterhole frequented by elephants, lions, and leopards (among other bush residents), with only a mosquito net between you and the incomparable African sky.

Guests are required to bring their own bicycles (or e-bikes) and basic biking equipment. A backup vehicle with a support crew offers bike maintenance facilities and mechanical support throughout the safari.
