This TikTok plastic surgeon has come under major fire after digitally ‘improving’ this star’s face

In the latest example of how not to use TikTok…

We’re sick of seeing celebrities being body shamed. From the constant speculation over whether Kourtney Kardashian looks pregnant – which the reality star recently clapped back at – to Victoria Beckham being forced to weigh herself on TV just weeks after giving birth, we never cease to feel surprised – and enraged – by how little progress we seem to have made online when it comes to critiquing the bodies (perfectly normal bodies, we may add) online. 

But the bizarre nature of the latest celebrity body-bashing seems to have rocked the internet more than most, and for good reason. Stranger Things fans are calling out a plastic surgery expert for posting a “gross” video to TikTok in which she details the various procedures that she recommends actor, Natalia Dyer – who plays Nancy Wheeler in the hit sci-fi show – should undergo. The Aesthetic nurse practitioner – Miranda Wilson – even goes so far as to edit an image of the 27-year-old’s face to show how it would look after the suggested cosmetic tweaks. 

Unsurprisingly, the video has gone viral across social media for all the wrong reasons, with users across Instagram, Twitter and TikTok reacting with shock and disgust to the now-deleted clip. Imagine taking time out of your day to tell someone – a person who has never asked or heard of you – how they should amend their appearance to suit your own skewed beauty ideals? 

In fact, she even goes so far as to edit an image of the 27-year-old’s face to show how it would look after the suggested cosmetic tweaks. 

We wouldn’t share the video even if it hadn’t been deleted, but the gist is that Wilson ‘imagines’ that she is the actor’s surgeon: “So, if I were Natalia’s injector, this is what I would do,” she begins by saying, before telling her audience that she would start by “treating those masseters to help slim the face” – something that the aesthetic nurse apparently “loves” to do – before adding “a bit of chin filler just to help fill out her chin.”

Finally, she would “add just a little bit to the lips and then we’d get in there and do a little bit of Botox” and also “give her a nice brow lift to help open up her eyes”.

That’s five – FIVE! – invasive cosmetic treatments that Miranda feels Natalia – a, quite frankly, gorgeous woman – would benefit from. And perhaps worst of all, the big reveal of what Dyer would look like post alterations shows her with an entirely changed face, one without many of the features that make her, well, herself. 

One follower shared the clip on Twitter as they raged: “I could never be a celebrity because if someone made a video like this about me i would get violent,” while others added their own disbelief at the video: “This is an unbelievably gross thing to do omg.”
