The disabled tiger is now believed to be one of three that mauled a local man and sadly killed his two dogs.

The local 46-year old, known only as Wan, was savaged after rounding up his nine buffaloes from the Khao Laem National Park.

Two of his three dogs were killed during the January 28 attack.

According to the Bangkok Post, 20 cameras intended to catch the tiger culprits filmed the three-limbed Indochinese tiger feasting on the carcass.

Niphon Chamnmongsirisak, director of Protected Area Regional Office, which covers the area where the attack happened, said conservationists are keen to capture the tiger.

He noted how wildlife trafficking charity the Freeland Foundation and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) think the animal’s disability poses a risk to its health, particularly from poachers.

Concerns over poaching have soared in the area after five villagers were arrested for killing two tigers in Thong Pha Phum National Park early in January.
