A trio of Premier League clubs are interested in signing Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal this summer.

The Hale End Academy graduate looked on the verge of leaving the Gunners last summer before signing a new long-term contract worth £100,000-a-week.

Nketiah initially looked likely to play second fiddle to Gabriel Jesus following his arrival from Manchester City, but the Brazil international’s three-month absence through injury afforded the England Under-21 international regular game time.

The 24-year-old initially impressed with goals against West Ham and Brighton before a memorable matchwinning contribution against Manchester United.

After a long-run without a goal, however, Nketiah was displaced by January recruit Leandro Trossard and struggled to make an impact once Jesus returned to full fitness at the end of February.

Mikel Arteta is set to shake up his attacking options again this summer with the addition of versatile Chelsea forward Kai Havertz who is on the verge of completing his switch across the capital.

The arrival of the Germany international is said to have had an unsettling effect on Nketiah who is now unsure of his role in Arteta’s squad.

Three Premier League clubs are said to be monitoring his situation, according to The Mirror, and although the identity of those teams is unknown, the likes of West Ham, Crystal Palace and Brighton have all attempted to sign him in the past.

Arsenal also face making a tough decision of the future of Folarin Balogun who thrived while on loan at Reims last season.

The striker recently enhanced his reputation with an encouraging debut for the USA after pledging his international future to the country of his birth over England.

Arsenal value Balogun at around £40million and the 21-year-old has made it clear he will not return tohis parent club unless he has a guarantee of regular first team football.
