Logan Airport just landed $62 million from the FAA as a part of the Airport Terminals Program.

The funding will support the replacement and rehabilitation of the arrival roadways for Terminals A and E and the roadway between Terminals C and E in addition to providing 154 full-time jobs during construction, the feds announced.

Most of the Massachusetts delegation was on hand for the project that will replace the HVAC system, expand the baggage claim area to accommodate the ongoing gate expansions, improve and expand the curbside area, and rehabilitate the existing ticket counter area, gates and jet bridges and more.

Pot reform keeps rolling

Six lawmakers kicked off their work Thursday to finalize a cannabis industry reform bill that would represent the first major legislative action to modernize regulations on the recreational marijuana industry since it launched.

Sen. Michael Rodrigues, one of the lead negotiators, said at the outset of the conference committee’s virtual talks that there “doesn’t seem to be many material differences” between the House and Senate bills dealing with host community agreements, on-site marijuana consumption cafes, and industry equity.

The branches diverged on how much marijuana revenue to put toward diversity and equity initiatives and the degree of executive branch authority over social equity grants.
