Actor Raj Anadkat, who is popular for playing the role of Tipendra Gada aka Tapu in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has reportedly quit the show. He played Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal’s son in the longest running sitcom. Since few days there have been reports about Raj has left TMKOC but neither the makers nor Raj have opened up about it.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Mandar Chandwadkar aka Bhide has reacted to the reports about Raj quitting the show. He told the portal, “As artists, we don’t know if he has quit the show but he had some health issues due to which he hasn’t been shooting for the past few days. I haven’t seen him on the set.”
Raj Anadkat is currently vacationing in Dubai with his mother and sister. He has been sharing glimpses from his trip on Instagram. Recently, Raj shared a couple of pictures with Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. He wrote in the caption that he shot for a “very big” project with the Bajirao Mastani actor and can’t wait to share it with everyone. An excerpt from his post read: “It was pleasure working with him on this special project ❤️ can’t express my feelings in words”.
Raj Anadkat replaced Bhavya Gandhi as Tapu in 2017.
A few days back, Shailesh Lodha aka Taarak Mehta also left the show. Meanwhile, new Nattu Kaka has been introduced on the show by none other than producer Asit Modi.
