A toddler has been flown to hospital after a vicious dog bit him on the face at a private property in South East Queensland.
The little boy was flown by RACQ LifeFlight rescue helicopter to Queensland Children’s Hospital with “significant facial injuries” from a Gympie home at 2pm on Sunday.
Reports suggest the toddler approached the dog while he was at a party on the Widgee property.
The dog had reportedly been tied up.
The boy remains in a serious but stable condition.
The dog breed remains unknown.
The attack was reported to the Gympie council, which is investigating the incident.
