Tom Parker gives update on his condition amid battle with cancer
Tom Parker has admitted it’s ‘hard to plan ahead’ after his health struggles, but he hopes to be ‘cancer free’ in 2022.
The Wanted singer, 33, went public with the devastating news in October last year, as he revealed he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer – grade four glioblastoma – which doctors had said was ‘inoperable’ and ‘terminal’.
Despite the low odds over his survival, Tom has defied expectations and is now thriving, just over a year after his brutal diagnosis.
He recently revealed the tumour is now stable, and the cancer is now under control, and he’s looking forward to the festive season this year after spending most of Christmas 2020 undergoing cancer treatment.

He and wife Kelsey, 31, are relieved to have some normality back after the last 12 months, and they’re hoping to make sure Tom is as healthy and happy as he can be in 2022.
But the singer confessed he’s finding it hard to plan for the future because he and Kelsey – along with their two children Aurelia, two, and one-year-old Bodhi, prefer to ‘live in the moment’ so it’s ‘hard to plan’.
“That’s the one thing I have taken from this journey, there’s no point thinking about tomorrow. None of us are guaranteed it, so we have to live for now,” he told OK! magazine.

And he and his wife confessed they are planning on expanding their brood next year, but only if Tom is in a ‘better health condition’.
“We definitely will have more children,” Kelsey insisted.
When quizzed about his hopes for next year, Tom was brief with his wish list, but said he was just looking forward to ‘a bit more normality’ and spending time with family over Christmas.
“Hopefully cancer-free, more babies and more shows with The Wanted,” he stated.
Tom underwent an aggressive regime of radiotherapy and chemotherapy over the festive season last year, and was left feeling ’disjointed and exhausted’ with no appetite for Christmas dinner.
But this year, he’s excited to be able to do the little things, such as getting up with the kids on Christmas Day morning, and making their breakfast.
“It’s nice to be back involved and feel part of the family unit again,” he confessed.
