Tyson Fury’s coach SugarHill Steward will train Tommy Fury for his bout with Jake Paul next month.
The Kronk Gym coach brought Tyson back to world heavyweight title glory in February 2020 when he stopped Deontay Wilder, and will be looking to help Tommy rid the boxing world of controversial YouTube star Paul.
Love Island star Fury has been trained for his whole career by his dad John, but has opted to move his camp to Las Vegas for his bout next month with Paul, which had ruled his father out.
Due to a visa issue, John is unable to get to America, meaning he can’t be a part of his son’s camp, but Tyson will be making a brief appearance to help corner Tommy.
And promoter Bob Arum, who put on Tyson’s last four Stateside fights, has confirmed that Fury will be trained by Steward for his next bout.
Steward is currently in Las Vegas to help promote Paul and Fury’s fight on December 18, and will be in the corner when the pair square off on December 18.

Speaking at a press conference tday to announce the event, Steward said that the younger Fury is still in a “learning process” and is waiting to see if he will become a top level fighter in future.
“I believe time will tell,” Steward said when asked if Tommy can become a top fighter after the Paul bout.
“This is a lot different to watching on TV and watching your big brother, but this is a learning process. I can’t really say right now.”
And he confirmed that he will be working on the reality TV star’s footwork in an effort to have him more composed when he faces Paul, who has experience going the longer eight-round distance.
Fury has only fought in four-rounders to date, aside from a one-rounded stoppage on his return fight after Love Island which was set for six.

Meanwhile, Paul went five three-minute rounds in his amateur debut against YouTuber Deji Olatunji, before being taken eight by former UFC champion Tyron Wodley.
“I’m going to primarily work on his footwork and his co-ordination, getting him more familiar with certain moves that you need in boxing to compete at a higher level than he fought at,” Steward added.
“I didn’t watch [his last fight], but I heard it wasn’t a good look from the family, maybe they were over-critical about it and they’re probably right.”
Fury was unable to attend the event due to a family emergency, and has returned to the UK from his Las Vegas training camp, with Paul claiming it was to do with his mother Chantal.
“I’m upset that Tommy’s not here,” he told media in Las Vegas this evening.
“I know that he’s taking care of his mother, and I respect that as a man, I hope she’s ok and the family are doing well.”
