The 76th annual Tony Awards are underway tonight at the United Palace in New York City. Hosted by triple-threat Ariana DeBose for the second year in a row, the star-studded awards ceremony will honor Broadway’s best productions and performances from the 2022-2023 season. Kicking off at 8 p.m. EST, the Tonys will air live on CBS and Paramount+, and some of the leading plays and musicals up for accolades are & Juliet, A Doll’s House, Some Like It Hot, Shucked, and Kimberly Akimbo. Celebrities up for top best actor and actress awards include The Piano Lesson’s Samuel L. Jackson, Parade’s Ben Platt, Prima Facie’s Jodie Comer, and A Doll’s House’s Jessica Chastain.
Before the trophies are handed out on stage, however, Broadway’s best will hit the official Tonys red carpet in their finest evening attire.
