Fans hoping to see Trail Blazers No. 3 pick Scoot Henderson and Victor Wembanyama match up for the first time on the NBA’s Summer League stage will be disappointed to hear the former G-League star has been sidelined with an injury.
Per TNT’s Chris Haynes, Henderson will sit out Sunday’s marquee matchup against the San Antonio Spurs to rest shoulder.

Henderson suffered the injury in Portland’s Friday night matchup with the Houston Rockets, exiting in the third quarter after putting up 15 points, six dimes and five boards in 21 minutes of action.
Last night was also a bit of a struggle for this year’s No. 1 pick, who shot just 2-of-13 from the field in his debut.
“Honestly, I didn’t really know what I was doing on the court tonight,” Wembanyama told reporters in the post-game interview.
All eyes will be on the 7-foot-5 big man once again as he aims to give the Las Vegas crowd a show this Sunday.
