RP Singh became the first Indian bowler to get a Purple Cap in IPL history. In the initial seasons of the IPL, RP Singh was one of the most feared bowlers. The left arm fast medium bowler was signed by the now-defunct Deccan Chargers in the IPL and played a major role in helping his side win the title in South Africa in 2009.
