ActiveTO will take place on Bayview Ave. from Rosedale Valley Rd. to Lawren Harris Sq., River St. between Bayview Ave. and Spruce St., and The Meadoway from Brimley Rd. to Scarborough Golf Club Rd., from 7 a.m. on Saturday until 7 p.m. on Sunday.
ActiveTO will also take place on Lake Shore Blvd. W. (eastbound lanes only), between Windermere Ave. and Stadium Rd., on Monday (Victoria Day) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
These road closures are recurring short-term closures of major streets adjacent to highly used trails that provide space for thousands of people to be active, contributing to the overall health and wellbeing of Toronto residents, the City said.
“We have made huge progress confronting the pandemic and reopening Toronto. City staff are working to balance all the renewed demands on our roads and other public spaces and the need to accommodate as much as possible all the major events across Toronto that are now back, while continuing to provide opportunities for ActiveTO,” Toronto mayor John Tory said in a statement.

“I encourage people to get out and enjoy ActiveTO and all parts of our city this weekend.”
Toronto Public Health is also hosting a mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinic along the Lake Shore Blvd. W. ActiveTO route on Monday to help residents get their next eligible dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The clinic will be located at Lake Shore Blvd. W. and Strachan Ave. and will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The clinic will have first, second, third and fourth doses of a COVID-19 vaccine and will operate on a walk-in basis with no health card required. Pfizer (including pediatric doses) and Moderna vaccines will be available. Masks are mandatory inside the clinic area.
ActiveTO will be in effect again during the May 28 to 29 weekend. Bayview Ave. from Rosedale Valley Rd. to Lawren Harris Sq., River St. between Bayview Ave. and Spruce St., and The Meadoway from Brimley Rd. to Scarborough Golf Club Rd. will be closed to vehicle traffic from 7 a.m. on May 28 until 7 p.m. on May 29. ActiveTO will take place on Lake Shore Blvd. W. (eastbound lanes only), between Windermere Ave. and Stadium Rd., on May 29 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Heart & Stroke will hold its Ride for Heart event along the Lake Shore Blvd. W. ActiveTO closure on May 29. The event aims to raise awareness about heart disease and stroke and will be a warm-up for the Manulife Heart & Stroke Ride for Heart, which celebrates its 35th anniversary on June 5. Heart & Stroke street teams will be on site on May 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

ActiveTO routes are open to pedestrians and people cycling and closed to vehicles. Residents planning to use ActiveTO routes are asked to access them by bike or as a pedestrian, as there is no available on-site parking and limited nearby parking.
“With warmer weather approaching, the return of ActiveTO will once again support the overall wellbeing of residents, by encouraging active transportation and providing more places to get fresh air and exercise,” Councillor Jennifer McKelvie (Scarborough-Rouge Park), chair of the Infrastructure and Environment Committee, said in a statement.
Roads within High Park will also be closed to vehicles on all three days of the long weekend. Limited street parking is available on Bloor St.
The City says those who need to drive in the general vicinity of ActiveTO weekend closures should stay alert, consider alternate routes and allow extra time to get to and from their destinations.
Road users should look for Bike Share Toronto stations, as well as seasonal valet stations that are staffed with Mobile Community Ambassadors who have extra bikes and docking points. Residents can download the PBSC app or visit a station to get started.
