‘Total FDI from Gulf to Turkey reaches $12 bln’ – ARAB TIMES – KUWAIT NEWS

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 24: Head of the Foreign Investment Office in Turkey Burak Oghlo said the total foreign direct investment flows from the Gulf countries to the Turkish Republic reached $12 billion from 2003 until the end of the first half of 2021, reports Al-Anba daily.

In an exclusive interview with the daily, Oghlo revealed that Kuwait’s share of the total Gulf investments in Turkey reached $2 billion or 16 percent. He added Kuwait ranked fourth in the Gulf after the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar and Saudi Arabia. He also disclosed that the number of Kuwaiti companies in Turkey has reached 400. These companies are operating in various investment fields and sectors. The Kuwaiti investor ranked third in the Gulf in terms of the number of investment companies operating in Turkey – after Saudi Arabia and the UAE – with 15 percent of the total number of Gulf companies, he concluded.
