It was revealed earlier this week that Crawley Town would be sending scouts to watch the match in a bid to recruit some players to feature in their FA Cup run this season. Since their takeover, the League 2 side have aimed to grow the club by using their online presence – holding online polls about player recruitment and also holding regular talks with fans on Twitter Spaces.
Speaking about the event to Sky Sports, online sensation KSI said: “It’s incredible (the atmosphere), 27,000 people screaming, shouting, raring to go, everyone’s buzzing. 10 years ago we were in our bedrooms playing FIFA pretending to be our favourite footballers. I didn’t expect to ever be on a pitch, or to be able to do boxing or music or whatever I’m doing. I didn’t expect any of this.”
