Tottenham have submitted a €70 million (£60m) bid for Tottenham striker Harry Kane, according to reports.

Manchester United had made Kane one of their top targets for the summer but have quickly pulled out of the running due to the costs involved in signing the 29-year-old.

Bayern Munich had also registered their interest in Kane but Spurs’ valuation, which is believed to be around £100m, is also out of reach for the Bundesliga champions.

According to The Athletic, Bayern have now tested the water with an offer of €70m (£60m) plus add-ons for Kane.

However, Sky Germany report that Bayern’s opening bid has already been turned down by Spurs.

The report also claims that Bayern have made Kane their priority target and have held extensive talks with the striker’s brother and agent over the past few days.

It’s understood that Kane’s response to Bayern’s approach has been ‘very positive’ and that a move to the Bundesliga champions would be his destination if he left the Premier League this summer.

It’s also claimed that the management team representing Victor Osimhen have been informed that Bayern are pressing ahead with a move for Kane and a deal for the Napoli striker is ‘off the table’.

Bayern have also opted to not pursue a deal for Randal Kolo Muani, who is also wanted by Manchester United, as Eintracht Frankfurt are demanding €100 million (£85.9m) for the 24-year-old forward.
