Manchester United have once again fallen short in their attempts to sign Adrien Rabiot.
The Red Devils attempted to land the French midfielder last summer in a cut-price deal before retracting their interest due to excessive wage demands.
Now United are back at the table as Rabiot’s current contract is technically due to expire in a matter of days on June 30.
But now Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Rabiot is close to extending his stay with Juve – meaning a move to Old Trafford has been blocked.
Romano posted on Twitter: “Juventus are close to full agreement to extend Adrien Rabiot’s contract. Huge one for Juventus as new deal has been unlikely for months.
“Final green light expected soon, then it will be done. Man United had contacts with Rabiot but Mount remains priority target.”
