A 13-year-old was among 27 people arrested across the weekend at TRNSMT in Glasgow, police have confirmed.

Three people, two males and one female aged between 18 and 29, were arrested on suspicion of assault and disorder on Friday evening when Pulp headlined the three-day festival at Glasgow Green.

On Saturday, following heavy rain and thunderstorms, police said 11 arrests had been made of people aged between 15 and 46 accused of offences including assault, disorder and drug offences.

On Sunday, amid sunshine and The 1975’s headlining set, 13 arrests were made of people aged between 13 and 49, in connection with offences involving drugs, assault, and disorder or breach of the peace.

Rock duo Royal Blood and pop star Becky Hill played the main stage before The 1975 on the festival’s final day.

TRNSMT replaced the T in the Park festival in 2017 after its demise left a gap in the Scottish music calendar for the second weekend in July.

Around 50,000 people attended on each day of the three-day music extravaganza.
