Bill Maher is pleading with U.S. President Joe Biden not to seek another term in office, saying he is the “only Democrat who can lose to Trump.”

While the Real Time with Bill Maher host insisted that Biden is capable of doing his job, he noted age will play a factor with voters.

There is only a four-year difference between Biden and Donald Trump, but Maher called the former president an “insane ball of white-hot anger,” which is perceived differently than Biden and his clumsy, grandpa-like ways.
“His age just doesn’t read like Biden’s,” he mused. “Maybe it’s because Trump is insane. Maybe it’s because he’s always a ball of white-hot anger.”
He continued in Friday’s monologue: “But for whatever reason, he looks robust, and Joe looks like his own skeletal remains.”

Maher added: “And I don’t think he’s going to look good (during televised debates that are set to come as the 2024 election proceeds).
“Yes, Trump is old, too, but Trump is like KISS. He puts on the face, paint in the wig. And he looks the same as he did in 1978.”

Maher said it’s going to take someone – or many people – to convince Biden not to run again, otherwise “he’s going to turn the country back over to Trump and go down in history as Ruth Bader Biden, the person who doesn’t know when to quit and so does great damage to their party and their country.”
Maher, whose politics veer decidedly left, said, “You can be a national treasure and still be too old for the job. If I’m on a plane and the pilot says, “This is your captain, Buzz Aldrin,’ I’m getting off.”
Maher acknowledged that he doesn’t love everything Biden has done.
“But that’s every president,” he added, citing his disenchantment with Biden’s decisions to take the U.S. out of Afghanistan, and his handling of Ukraine.
