KUWAIT CITY, Dec 11: Tunisian Malek Al-Jaziri and Lebanon’s Hadi Habib qualified for the final of the singles category in the Arab Elite Tennis Championship which was held at th Sheikh Jaber Al-Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah International Tennis Complex. Al-Jaziri, the first seeded in the tournament, reached the final defeating his Syrian counterpart Hazem Al-Naw (2-1), (6-7), (6-2) and (3-6).
The Lebanese Habib – the second seed in the championship – reached the final after his explicit victory over the third seeded Tunisian Mohamed Aziz (2-0) (6-2). The Egyptian team consisting of Sherif Makhlouf and Amr Mohamed qualified for the final match of the doubles category, scheduled for tomorrow, after their difficult victory over the Kuwaiti duo Abdul Hamid Jumaa and Ali Al-Shatti, with a score (2-1) (3-6) and (6-3) (10-6)
The Egyptian team will meet its Lebanese counterpart, Hadi Habib and Hassan Ibrahim, who reached the final after defeating the Tunisian duo Wissam Abdel Rahman and Mohamed Aziz (2-0), (6-3) and (7-5). (KUNA)
