In this way, the Castilian and Leonese team will compete in the Madrid heated pool this Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 January with five rookie swimmers: Ángela Esteban, Ricardo Rojo, Juanjo Herrero, Alejandra Bonal and Gabriel Soto.
The five ‘kids’ of the expedition will join Diego Romero, Irene Barro, Sergio Díaz, Yasser del Bosque, Carla de Vega, Samuel Pérez and Marco Pérez. Precisely, the latter, a CN Palencia swimmer, will be one of the team leaders in the youth category and after his tour of the United States.
The competition will begin on Saturday afternoon, starting at 4:30 p.m.; while on Sunday, the Championship will conclude with the second day, which will take place from 10:00 am.
As is traditional, three sports classes have been established according to the type of disability – functional (S1-10/SB1-9/SM1-10), visual (S11-13/SB11-13/SM11-13) and intellectual (S14/ SB14/SM14)–. There will be about fifty tests in which the athletes will measure themselves in distances ranging from 50 to 400 meters and in the modalities of freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and styles, as well as mixed relays.
The Fedeacyl team is made up of swimmers from Valladolid, Palencia and Soria; that belong to the Fusion, Mundo Azul and Impulso Global clubs.
