KUWAIT CITY, April 27: Kuwait’s ice hockey team selected twenty players to take part in the third Gulf games to be hosted by Kuwait this May, Kuwait Winter Games Club said. In a press statement, the club said the team is preparing well for the competition, which will include four teams from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UAE, in addition to Kuwait. The organizing committee of the competition announced that the official opening ceremony would start on May 22 and end on May 31.

The competition will have 16 different games including handball, volleyball, soccer, basketball, swimming, athletics, shooting, tennis, ice hockey, judo and karate as well as others. Female players will take part in the championship for the first time in seven games namely soccer, athletics, volleyball, basketball. (KUNA)
