Fury takes aim at Joshua, Usyk and Whyte in expletive-laden rant
Cocky American heavyweight Christopher Lovejoy has claimed he knocked out Tyson Fury in sparring – and promised to do it again.
The massive 22-stone, 6′5″ heavyweight is 20-1 as a professional, and was once ranked in the WBA’s top 15 even though he has only fought one opponent of note; a losing effort to Manuel Charr.
And he claims that during a 2018 sparring session with Fury, he knocked out the world heavyweight champion, which he has promised to do again when he sees him.
Lovejoy was scheduled to fight Dave Allen on the undercard of Oleksandr Usyk’s world title eliminator with Derek Chisora, but was pulled from the bout at the 11th hour by Don King.
The American is known as something of a troll in the boxing world, with footage of his 20 fights in Mexico hard to come by, and his one bout with world level Charr seeing him handily stopped within two rounds.
And with Fury struggling to come to an agreement for a fight with one of Dillian Whyte or Oleksandr Usyk, Lovejoy has called for a professional fight with the world champion.

“Tyson, Tyson, Tyson, knock it off bro,” Lovejoy said in a video posted to social media.
“For one thing, you’re calling out people who don’t really want to fight – you know damn well Dillian Whyte don’t want to fight nobody.
“You know damn well Usyk and Joshua about to have a rematch, you’re not even involved in that, bro.
“So to make it real short and real simple, if you want that fight let’s get it.
“I knocked your a** out in Vegas and I’ll knock your a** out again, you know where I’m at, you know how to reach me.
“We can do it this weekend, next weekend, next month, it don’t matter bro, let’s get it, you know what’s up!”
Fury has a slightly different recollection of events, telling iFL TV in 2019 that he dropped Lovejoy within one round.
The American was reportedly telling people in top Las Vegas gyms he could handily beat Fury if they sparred, which the Brit offered after hearing of his bragging.
“What happened was, there was this big fella, six-foot-five, 20 stone, 18-0 (18 KOs), he was highly rated by the WBA,” Fury said at the time.
“And he was saying all over Las Vegas, all in the heavyweight gyms, ‘I’m gonna knock Tyson Fury out. He’s a bum, he’s this, he’s that.’

“So one of the trainers at the Mayweather gym said, ‘Oh Tyson, there’s this guy who said he’s gonna knock you out.’
“He caused the trouble, he phoned him up and said, ‘Say it to his face, say it to him on the phone.’
“I said, ‘Are you gonna knock me out, are you?’ He said, ‘Yeah, I am,’ so I said, ‘Come down and do it then.’
“So anyway I wasn’t at the gym and he turned up to the gym – I said, ‘I’ll tell you what to do, come back tomorrow and I’m gonna knock you out. If I don’t, it don’t count.’
“He sort of flapped it, didn’t know how to take it. But he left and he came back tomorrow.
“My cousin said, ‘I want you to drop him with a straight left hand in the first round,’ I said, ‘You got it.’
“He comes running at me, I just went slip, boom and down he went, all 20-stone of him on the floor.”
