Twins reveal the TRUTH about social media influencing

Sam and Teagan Rybka have spoken out, saying influencing is a 24/7 job and people tend to “underestimate the workload”.

The Perth-based influencers and twins are best known on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram for their dance routines — which are always perfectly in sync.

While many think their influencer life comes easy, the sisters disagree.

“It wasn’t until we got our first pay cheque that we realised, ‘oh my gosh, we can literally do this full-time’,” Teagan told the Daily Telegraph.

“Not anyone can post a video and monetise it. You have to build up a following.

“People always underestimate the workload.

“We’re perfectionists, so a 15-second TikTok takes an hour to film. We like to describe it as a never-ending to-do list.”

Despite the long hours and tiring workload, the sisters agree they “have the best job in the world” and are “so grateful”.

With a whopping 14.1 million TikTok followers, 7.73m YouTube subscribers and 1.1m Instagram followers, it was only a matter of time before the identical influencers nabbed a fashion deal.

On Tuesday night, the twins officially launched their first fashion collaboration, SHEIN x Rybka Twins.

The collaboration with the global e-retailer was officially unveiled at an exclusive event at Hyde Hacienda Bar and Lounge in Sydney and features a limited collection of 35 pieces.

The event was attended by Sydney influencers, media personalities and reality TV stars including So Dramatic! founder Megan Pustetto, controversial Married At First Sight bride Carolina Schmidt and former Love Island Australia star Millie Fuller.

The twins took to Instagram to share their excitement.

Sam spoke about the collaboration in her post’s caption, saying: “We hope you guys love it all as much as we do! There are over 35 pieces including chic partywear, loungewear and activewear for the ultimate it-girl look for every mood.”

Earlier this year, the acrobatic duo took a trip to the US for a reason they wouldn’t disclose.

Keeping fans guessing, they later revealed the reason for their international travel was to audition for America’s Got Talent.

Making it through to the next round, the sisters shared the news on Instagram.

“Couldn’t keep this a secret any longer . . .” they captioned the photo of the two of them sporting matching outfits and holding hands in front of the talent show’s sign.

Amid their busy schedules, the twins will also be taking part in Telethon later this year.

In March, they shared a photo of themselves sitting in Telethon pyjamas on Instagram.

“Join us for the 56th Telethon weekend on Saturday October 21 and Sunday 22nd for another epic weekend of giving! Don’t forget to purchase your telethon pyjamas from the telethon shop so you can twin with us!”
