Archaeologist and adventurer, Indiana Jones, returns to the big screen June 30 with what is being billed as the final installment of the highly successful Indian Jones franchise: “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.”

Harrison Ford, as Indy, has received strong reviews for his final turn as the swashbuckling hero. In this movie he continues to wear a brown fedora, a beige safari-style shirt, brown leather bomber jacket, khaki pants, brown leather belt with a brass buckle, brown leather boots and whip. Accompanying his trademark outfit is the Hamilton Boulton timepiece.

The Swiss watch brand with its American roots worked with Ben Wilkinson from the props team on the film to ensure the watches tied to the time period of the costumes designed by Joanna Johnston.

Introduced in 1941, the Boulton was one of Hamilton’s most popular watches from the storied decade. It was reintroduced in the 1980s and adapted for contemporary demands. The cushion-shaped watch with Art Deco design details has slightly larger proportions than the original. It features a yellow gold PVD coated stainless steel case that measures 27mm x 31.6mm with a thickness of 7.8mm. The lug width measures 18mm and from lug-to-lug it measures 41.5mm. The brown leather strap with alligator finish has been reshaped as well.

Mineral crystal glass reveals a white dial with small second subdial, Arabic hour markers and brass hands. The watch is powered by a quartz movement.

The Boulton, part of Hamilton’s American Classic collection, accompanies the professor and times his escapes as he tackles new adventures.

Indy’s old friend, Renaldo, played by Antonio Banderas, wears a custom Hamilton Khaki Navy Scuba. Again, it’s an appropriate choice for the boat captain who seems to appear at the right times to provide the assistance Indy needs to complete his missions.

The 40mm stainless steel timepiece houses a black dial with nickeled hour, minute and second hands finished with Super-LumiNova. It is powered by the H-10 automatic movement with an 80-hour power reserve. It is completed by a black rubber strap. As a nautical timepiece, it is water resistant to 100 meters.

In 1944, Indy helped his collogue, Basil Shaw, against Jürgen Voller, a Nazi, from obtaining a mysterious dial known as the Antikythera, which could change the course of history. Twenty-five years later Jones is concerned that the U.S. government has recruited former Nazis to help beat the Soviet Union to space. In addition, he has become embittered as his wife Marion is divorcing him and he is about to be forced into retirement from his teaching position. His goddaughter, Basil’s daughter Helena Shaw, played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, accompanies him on his journey for the Dial. They will have to battle Voller, who has more nefarious uses for it.
