Two in hospital after brutal dog attack

Four people in Western Australia have escaped a brutal dog attack, thanks to a bottle of window cleaner.

The four were attacked by two dogs in Quinns Rocks, WA on Wednesday morning.

Two of the people required stitches after the attack and are still in hospital.

At about 10:30am on Wednesday morning, CCTV footage captured the two dogs racing towards residents as they stood outside their houses in Perth’s north.

Phillip Smith sustained several wounds to his leg, and told 7 NEWS he feared for his life.

The dogs chased three men and a woman back into their homes, but they continued to target Mr Smith and his neighbour, Ian Stewart.

Mr Smith told 7 NEWS the dogs attacked Mr Stewart “full on”.

“We were yelling at the dogs, and we were looking for something to grab to hit the dogs with, but there was nothing there,” Mr Smith told 7 NEWS.

Footage also shows a blood trail inside one of the homes as one victim ran inside to get away from the dogs.

Mr Stewart, along with another neighbour, underwent surgery at the Joondalup Health Campus.

He has since been discharged.

The dogs were eventually caught by council rangers, who are currently trying to locate the owners.

The City of Wanneroo currently has the dogs in a holding facility while the incident is being investigated.
