Tyron Woodley has confirmed that a rematch clause is present in his latest contract with Jake Paul which could activate trilogy talks next year.
The 39-year-old makes his next boxing outing in a rematch with YouTube star Paul later this month after replacing Tommy Fury at late notice.
Woodley has pined for a rematch since his defeat in August this year after coming up second best by a split decision.
He could even now have secured a trilogy if he can execute successful revenge against Paul on December 18, and is expecting to punish his opponent at the second time of asking.
Woodley told TMZ Sports : “Yes, there is a rematch clause in there, after I knocked you out Mr. Betting Man, are you gonna run, or are you gonna wanna try to fight someone else, or are you gonna come get this work.

“I bet I beat his ass. I bet if he get up, I bet I do it again. I bet if he get up, I bet I knock his ass down again. First things first. Woodley has to win. Then, do it all again.”
With a UFC title to his name, Woodley was called across to face Paul in a crossover boxing match in which he was largely dominated according to the punch stats.
However Woodley came extremely close to bringing the duel to a halt in the fourth round after knocking his opponent to the ropes.
He had a tattoo inked in a bid to entice Paul away from pursuing the eventual boxing showdown with Fury.
But the bout between Paul and Fury was confirmed despite Woodley viciously hitting out at his former opponent after he failed to honour their verbal agreement.

Fury was shockingly forced to withdraw from the scheduled showdown with a broken rib and chest infection which opened the door for the MMA star to begin plotting his redemption.
The co-founder of Paul’s promotion label Nakisa Bidarian confirmed that Woodley continued his preparations in anticipation of a late pull-out so he could step in.
Despite the sharp turnaround with the fight just two weeks away, Woodley is more confident than ever that this fight is more important than any match-up with Fury.
“To be honest, I’m not looking ahead too much but I’m not losing to Jake Paul,” Woodley told Mirror Fighting ahead of his ring return.
“I didn’t lose to him the first time and this time I’m finishing the fight – I don’t want no referee, no hometown advantage, no ‘let’s let the storyline continue’ type s*** to happen at all.
“So what that’s going to do is probably set us up to fight a third time and I’m just going to replace the boxing fight I anticipated next year with Jake instead.
