Tyron Woodley planning Jake Paul trilogy in 2022
Tyron Woodley only watched his first fight against Jake Paul last week as the pair prepare to meet for a second time this weekend.
Woodley – who lost a split decision to Paul in August – stepped up for his rematch with Paul on less than two weeks notice after Tommy Fury withdrew from the fight.
The former UFC champion pressed hard for a rematch, even having an “I love Jake Paul ” tattoo on his finger, but Paul pursued a fight with Fury instead.
He will now get the chance to avenge his loss against the YouTube star, but Woodley thinks after rewatching their first contest he should have won the fight.
“I watched it for the first time two days ago, I hadn’t watched it before then,” he told Submission Radio.

“What stood out to me then is, first off he lost. I felt like he lost when I was there but when I watched the film, round four was clear I won that fight.
“He never got the momentum after that, even towards the end of the round I landed the big right hand and I took the momentum with that punch.
“He never won a round after that, and that’s without even the blatant fact the ropes held him up and he should have been given a count, which would have made that round a 10-8.”
Paul out-landed Woodley over the eight rounds, but the former-UFC champion landed the best punch of the fight in the fourth round, sending his rival crashing into the ropes.
The internet star rubbished claims of a ‘no-knockout’ clause in that fight and has even offered Woodley an additional $500,000 if he can win by knockout in the rematch.
Woodley slammed Paul for the ‘skits’ he transferred from his YouTube days to the boxing ring and says it only puts additional pressure on him.
Will it be repeat or revenge in the rematch between Paul and Woodley? Let us know your prediction in the comments section below
“He’s of the YouTube world where comments can be brutal and everything they do is planned out with skits and captions,” he continued.
“This is what he actually does for a living, I fight for a living. This is his part-time job, his thing he does for a living if lifestyle content, sizzle reels, pranks and challenges.
“Him leading the fans on with the no-knockout clause and all the other stuff, he’s adding additional pressure to himself. I don’t have no pressure on myself.
“He was going to get knocked out anyway and of course I’m going to accept that. Does the $500,000 make me wanna do it anymore? I don’t know cause I already wanted to do it anyway.”
