Dana White talks Jake Paul diss track, Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou

Tyson Fury has claimed the awkward exchange with Francis Ngannou over the size of his manhood was a highlight of his UK homecoming.

The British star attracted a record 95,000 crowd at Wembley Stadium who watched him detonate a huge uppercut and stop British rival Dillian Whyte. After the result was announced, UFC heavyweight champion Ngannou jumped into the ring and was interviewed alongside the ‘Gypsy King’ over a potential crossover bout.

Fury questioned Ngannou with a crude comment in the ring, joking: “He is a good looking lad, have you got a big corey?” Ngannou confusingly responded: “What?” Fury then explained his request by looking down at his shorts which left the Cameroon star clearly bemused and unsure how to react.

However the 33-year-old has since hailed his perfect send-off and believes the crowd helped make his UK homecoming extra special. “It couldn’t have gone any better, we had a record-breaking crowd for any event and we had a brilliant knock out to cap it all off,” Fury told Queensberry Promotions when questioned about the highlights from his victory over Whyte.

“What a send off; the fireworks, the crowd, the fans, the sing-song and the UFC guy jumping it at the end and me asking how big his corey was. It doesn’t get any bigger than that. It was definitely a dream come true, for me to be boxing at home at Wembley against a British opponent defending my titles on an epic night in April it was an absolutely fantastic night.

“To get a one punch KO against someone who everyone thought was going to give me problems. If we had have drawn it up before hand we couldn’t have thought of how well it went. We had great viewing figures and sales, everyone got good wins on the card and it was fantastic.”

Fury had stated he would retire from combat sports in the ring beforehand but promptly backtracked to confirm he would be willing to step in the ring with Ngannou. The Cameroon heavyweight is currently out of contract with the UFC and has stated his intentions to switch to the squared circle.

The British star has previously claimed he would like to face Ngannou in Las Vegas next year and has drawn up a shortlist for further exhibitions afterwards. Fury previously suggested the pair fight in MMA gloves under boxing rules during his original call-out which Ngannou countered despite accepting the offer.

UFC star Tom Aspinall believes a fight could take place with a rule change every round if the pair wanted to face-off in both sports. “Little gloves, for sure, and five-minute rounds, that would definitely make it a little bit even,” he told Sky Sports.

“I think they should do first round boxing only. Second round, maybe, boxing and low kicks. And third round, I don’t know, boxing, low kicks, and clinching. I think something like that would make it a bit more even.”
