Where does Tyson Fury’s win leave the world heavyweight scene?

Tyson Fury has laughed off Derek Chisora’s prediction that Anthony Joshua would knock him out by continuing to brand his rival a “bodybuilder”.

The ‘Gypsy King’ was set to meet Joshua in a huge undisputed clash worth over £100million last year but was instead forced to take a trilogy with Deontay Wilder.

Chisora has friendships with both Fury and Joshua but recently backed ‘AJ’ to knock out his domestic counterpart if the pair meet later this year.

Fury has now issued a dismissive response posting an Instagram video, where he said: “This is a message to Derek Chisora, I’ve just seen that you said you think AJ would blast me out. Never in a million years.

“If the biggest puncher in history couldn’t blast me out and Wladimir Klitschko couldn’t blast me out, a big old body builder can’t blast me out my friend.

“So Del, he ain’t got the bottle to fight Usyk again. Usyk will smash him next time, properly. Never mind beat him on points, he’ll knock him out. But listen, it only takes one man like me.

“There’s only ever been one man on these shores, and he’s called the Gypsy King, AKA Tyson Fury.”

Chisora has fought Fury twice during his heavyweight career losing on both occasions but is unlikely to step in the ring with Joshua.

‘WAR’ now also has a contract with Joshua’s management label 258MGT who are guiding him in to the next stages of his long career after losing to Joseph Parker.

And he backed the two-time world champion to beat Fury and forget about “boxing” and fight in his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.

“I’ll go with AJ. Yeah! See, AJ’s power punch is unbelievable. Wilder didn’t know what to do (with Fury),” he told talkSPORT.

“If AJ fights Fury, he has to just go on him straight away and blast him out. If he tries to box him, he will lose the fight.

Who would you back if the pair fought – Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua? Let us know in the comments section below

“He has to fight him, if you give Fury time on the ball you’re in trouble. Yeah [he could stop Fury], why not? He’s blasted out 22 opponents before.

“No, he’s not going to practise boxing anymore. The only person who practices boxing anymore is Tyson Fury, the rest of us should just fight.”

Joshua will have to beat Usyk to regain his unified heavyweight titles after losing them last September.

This could set up an undisputed clash with Fury if he can retain his belts against Dillian Whyte who has been ordered as his mandatory challenger.

However the negotiations for the defence are currently delayed as an appeal continues over the purse split at 80 percent in the champion’s favour.
